Judith Traver Hyfield-Starr of Windsor, Colorado and Glastonbury, Connecticut, died April 3, 2024. She was 89 years old and was born October 9, 1934, in Albany, New York to Dr. and Mrs. Clarence Traver.
She graduated from Boston University in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. She joined the West Hartford News in 1955 and married Scott Hyfield in 1960. The couple had two children, Christopher Todd Hyfield now of Scarborough, Maine and Tamara Lee Merritt of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Judy joined Aetna Life & Casualty in 1957. In 1981 moved to The Travelers Insurance Company and then to Value Health in 1984.
Judy married E. Clark Starr in 1981, moved to Colorado in 1999, and served as President of the Fort Collins Newcomers Association and later as President of the Fort Collins Symphony Guild.
Judy has four grandchildren, three stepchildren and three step grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, mother, and father and two sisters.

Cremation was chosen, and a Celebration of Life service is planned for Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 3:00 PM, at her daughter Tamara's home at 127 N. Pearl Street, Fort Collins, CO 80521.
