Julia Brown, 73, died November 27, 2021 at sunset with her children by her side in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Julia, who went by Julie, was born to Jack and Gloria Cox December 31, 1947 in Fresno, California. Julie was raised with her sisters in Fresno where they attended Hoover High School. Julie has kept in touch with a handful of ladies throughout the years from Hoover High. She has been on some amazing adventures with these cherished friends throughout the years including Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and Alaska. Julie lived in Alaska for 28 years, it is where she raised her children. She enjoyed her summers fishing on the Kenai River and winters skiing on Mount Alyeska, sledding, knitting and crafting while running an in-home daycare. In 2013 she moved to Fort Collins where she has made many friends. She was a woman of many talents, from making jewelry to reupholstering furniture. She enjoyed gardening on a nice summer day. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with those she loved. She was one of those women who was truly a mom to everyone. No matter your journey in life, she accepted and loved you.
Julie is survived by her children and their life partners. Nathan Brown and Stacy Story, Courtney and Victor Chavez and Justin and Colby Perry. Her grandchildren Camlyn Robbins, Saleyna Chavez, Savannah Chavez, Sierra Chavez, Jamie Perry and Ashley Perry and her great grandchildren Clementine Jewel and Sophia Jewel and her cat that she loved so much, Mokey.
Julie was proceeded in death by her parents Jack and Gloria, Her sister Donna Harrison and Kim Matson and daughter Melynda Robbins.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11am at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, CO. Reception to follow.
