Juliet Gary Sitzmann

Juliet Gary Sitzmann, aka, Julie, Bulie, Jewels and Ninkapoop, 83 of Fort Collins died May 27, 2016 of cancer. She was born on July 8, 1932 to John and Myrtle (Major) Miller of Richmond, Virginia. Juliet was raised with her siblings, Joseph, Gertrude, Virginia and Jane. She graduated from high school in 1950 and worked in at various administrative positions; mostly with the Sheridan School District, which she proudly served for 20 years.

Juliet married her husband, Glenn Arnold Sitzmann in Richmond, Virginia on December 1, 1951 and together they lived in Virginia, Minnesota, Colorado, and Iowa and wintered in Arizona. She and Glenn proudly raised eight children and enjoyed their 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Tragically, they lost their son, John Patrick Sitzmann and daughter, Pamela Jane Sitzmann-Gress; her husband, Glenn died in 2012.

Though she suffered great loss, she was blessed with the love of her family and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking, gardening, shopping, playing games and going to lunch with her friends.

She is survived by her son, Douglas (Pam) Sitzmann of Centennial, Colorado; son Jeff (Mickey) Sitzmann of Arvada, Colorado; son, Tim (Valerie) Sitzmann of Littleton, Colorado; son, Todd (Luan) Sitzmann of Cabot, Arkansas; daughter, Lisa (Chip) Carrell of Fort Collins, Colorado and daughter, Lori (Steve) Kellar of Centennial, Colorado; son-in-law, Curt Gress; daughter-in-law, Susie Sitzmann; sister, Jane Kaufeldt; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; nieces, Ruthanne, Martha, Lynn, Linda, Gail and Helen; nephews, Bland, Charles, Winston and Gary and her beloved pet, Scarlet.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; son, John Patrick Sitzmann; daughter, Pamela Jane Gress; sisters, Virginia Weaver and Gertrude Miller; brother, Joseph Miller.

Memorial Mass is scheduled at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 3rd at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, Fort Collins, Colorado.
