Kaelynn Rose Kaump was granted her angel wings Friday, March 16, 2018 at the age of 13 from a tragic car accident. She was born January 12, 2005 to Kirk H. Kaump and Heather M.K. Hughes in Fort Collins, CO. She is lovingly remembered by all her parents, Heather & Dusty Hughes and Kirk & Jennifer Kaump. She is survived by her brothers Chrystian Kaump (Katie), Nikolas Kaump, Justin Carlock, Dakota Carlock, and Cody McClure. Her maternal grandmother Nancy Hoffman and maternal grandparents Stephen & Pam Ryan. She is also survived by her paternal grandmothers Rose Kaump and Marie Bassham. Her aunts and uncles include Bryan & Venus Kaump, Billy Johnson, Sean & Rhiannon Ryan, John & Jessica Ryan, Christopher Hoffman (Sarah), Julie Farley (Mark), and Cathy Farley. Kaelynn has 18 cousins, a huge extended family and a multitude of friends.
Kaelynn was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Ron Kaump, her maternal grandfather Rick Hoffman, and her maternal Uncle Robert Hoffman.
Kaelynn was like no other. She was beautiful inside and out. She never knew an enemy and treated others as she wanted to be treated. She always found the good in others and was a champion of the underdog. She loved all animals big, small, slithering, crawling, swimming or walking on all fours. As everyone will attest she was an amazing artist. She was always sketching, painting, and crafting. Some of her art work has been displayed throughout Northern CO and was recognized by the Poudre School District when she was in the 3rd grade. She could make anything out of nothing and her creativity was endless. Kaelynn loved to sing, play instruments, learning sign language and her newest skill was playing the Ukulele. Being outside was a huge favorite as well. She loved camping, 4 wheeling, fishing, campfires, smores, and hiking. She was devoted to her family and all of her friends.
Kaelynn's life would seem too short to many but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She has reminded all of us about the preciousness of life.
A Celebration of Life is being held Friday March 30, 2018 from 2-5 pm at Windsong Estate Event Center, 2901 Saddler Blvd, located at the intersection of Hwy 257 and Hwy 14.
