Kaiden Reily Mertz was taken from this life too soon on October 8, 2021. In his 15 years with us, he left an impact that will last for so many years to come.
Kaiden was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on Dec 2, 2005. He grew up here in Fort Collins and was currently in the 10th grade at Poudre High School. Kaiden loved to play video games. In true Colorado fashion, he enjoyed anything outdoors, especially fishing. He also really liked working at Subway and was a great sandwich artist.
Kaiden was so funny, with a sarcastic and mischievous sense of humor. He cared deeply for others, and was always respectful and kind. His gentle soul helped bring comfort to those around him even when he was feeling the weight of his own life.
Kaiden leaves behind his mother, Candice Bay; father, Colt Fabrizio, stepfather, Jayden Bay; siblings, Dakoda Bay, Melisa Bay and Myles Galvin; grandparents, Dave and Suzi Mertz, Sandra Flores, and Sheila Kensinger; as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles. He will be missed beyond measure.
A Celebration of Life and open house will take place at 3 pm, Saturday, October 16 at the home of his grandparents, 2421 Westview Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524.
