Karen Kay Brinkhoff
Bellvue, Colorado resident Karen Kay Brinkhoff, 78 years old, passed away May 24, 2024.
Karen was born December 29, 1946, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle Lamar.
Karen graduated in the last class from Cache la Poudre High School in Laporte.
She was united in marriage to Mike Brinkhoff, and raised three children, Kati Alvord, Jack Brinkhoff, and Sam Brinkhoff.
Karen was always a hard worker and loved her children and would do anything for them. She spent countless hours looking after her grandkids. Her chocolate mayonnaise cake was a must at any birthday party. Tacos were another favorite at any family gathering. Her family meant everything to her.
She felt most at home in the mountains. Cooking on a wood burning stove and baking homemade bread, she made it look easy. The family was blessed by a wonderful cook, and she made any meal taste amazing.
She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, her many grandkids, great-grandkids, and her brother Tom Peden.
