Kathryn Louise Logsdon (Ryan), Fort Collins, Colorado
She was born on June 20, 1944 in Seattle, Washington to Kenneth W. and Mary Louise (Johnson) Ryan. Kitten as she was known most of her life, died Wednesday, January 18,2017 at 5:52 AM. To her friends and family, she was known as "Kitten" because her Daddy named her before she was born, knowing they would have a girl!
She grew up in Stanislaus County, California attending Rising Sun Elementary, Patterson High School and Modesto Junior College. Modesto Junior College has a well-recognized nursing school and Kitten graduated with a 4.5 GPA.
She retired from nursing as the Director of Nurses at HCR ManorCare in Palm Desert in 2012. She then moved with her mother to Fort Collins, Colorado to live with her brother, Kenneth J. Ryan, a long-time residence of this city.
Kitten was a member of the Timberline Church and was as active as she could be under her physical disabilities. For some time, she was disabled from hip and knee problems and finally, was overcome by breast and bone cancer. She has been a life-long Christian, walking in the path of her Lord and Savior. She was looking forward to being back with her Lord again. She was a member of several church groups and she had many close friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammie (Darrell) Stevens; granddaughter, Brianne Richardson; great-granddaughter, Ashlyn and great-granddaughter, Ilanna; nephew, Patrick Ryan; niece, Cynthia (Brett) Hughes; cousin, Alice Jackson; cousin, Jim (Kathy) Ryan; cousin, Linda (John) Vinnard.
