Kathy Joanne Mondragon

Aug 14, 1954 — Feb 10, 2016

Kathy Joanne Mondragon, 61 of Fort Collins died February 10, 2016. She was born on August 14, 1954 to Lawrence Eugene and Marcene Ruth (Milam) Kite in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Kathy was raised with her sister, and her brother, Tom Kite. She earned her Associate's Degree after graduating from high school and worked at Supermarket Liquors and IBMC College in Fort Collins.

Kathy was deeply loved by friends and family and she will be remembered for her kind spirit; she would go out of her way to make others happy. Sadly, she was taken way too soon from her family that meant everything to her, especially her precious grand-kids and great-granddaughter. Kathy would do anything to make sure that they were happy, healthy and safe. She loved and spoiled her precious dog, Mija and enjoyed her walks together every day.

Kathy was such a vibrant and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved taking trips to California with her daughter, Sara and overnight stays in Estes Park with grandson, Michael. She would often stay home to care for her great-granddaughter, Catalina while Sara was at work.
For Kathy, the warm weather was her happiness; she loved flowers and Sunday dinners with her family; every other week to make sure that she and her family were together. She loved to bake, her deserts were amazing! Kathy also loved flowers and was a huge Raiders fan, but most of all, she was devoted to her family and friends; she will be missed by so many!

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Shauna Mondragon (John Griego); daughter, Sara Mondragon ; son, Adam Mondragon (Valerie Romero); grandson, Micheal Griego; great-great granddaughter, Catalina Mondragon; mother, Marcene and her sister.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence and her brother, Tom.
