In Loving Memory of Kathy Faye (Johnson) Young
Kathy Faye (Johnson) Young, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in Fort Collins, Colorado, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on March 21, 1949, in Ogallala, Nebraska, to Alice Welch and Robert Johnson.
Kathy graduated from Golden High School and went on to attend Weber State University, where she completed nursing school. She dedicated her life to caring for others, serving as a nurse for more than 40 years. Her compassion and tireless commitment to her patients and co-workers touched countless lives during her many years at the Colorado Boys Ranch in La Junta, Colorado, and Saint Mary-Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kathy lived her faith through quiet acts of kindness, service, and unwavering love for those around her.
Kathy was the heart of her family — a dedicated, loving woman who would do anything for those she cared about. She kept her family connected, offered wisdom freely, and faced every challenge with grace and courage.
She is survived by her children, Robert Mark (Lupe) Crystal, and Charles Dean (Marcie) Crystal; and her grandchildren Joseph, Rusty (Alyia), Eric (Anitchka), Charles, Katie, and Andrew Crystal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Johnson and Alice Bailey, and her brother, Rusty Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 144 S Abarr Drive, Pueblo, Colorado 81007.
Kathy will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
