Katie Driscoll

Kate was born on March 22, 1947 to George and Marie Driscoll in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She passed away peacefully on February 12, 2011 with her best friend Steve Den holding her hand. Kate was a loving and sweet lady and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. She loved her family and friends very much and was always there for them. Kate loved to dance, ride Harleys and spend time with her loved ones. Kate also enjoyed bird watching, wildlife of any kind, watching Wheel of Fortune with Stevie, sitting next to the Poudre River to read and hugging all of her friends. She held many jobs in her life but most recently she was employed at Sunflower Market where she loved to visit with the customers. She always appreciated her friends that would come to see her at work and talked frequently about her loyal customers that brought a smile to her face. Anyone that knew Kate knew how much she loved rock and roll. We take great comfort in knowing she finally got to meet Michael Jackson, Jim Morrison, and Elvis Presley and is now watching over us all from heaven. Preceding her in death were her parents George and Marie Driscoll. Survivors include her children Heather Quass and Sean (Jodi) Quass, longtime friend and partner Steve Den, his children Tim (Dee) Den, Josh (Christine) Den, and grandchildren, Jon Quass, Cameron Den, Hayley and Ethan Den. Her sister Donna (Dave) Schulte and brother Mike (Terri) Driscoll. And nieces and nephews Tim (Tamara) Schulte, Lisa Schulte, Michael, Connor and Hayley Driscoll, great niece and nephew Lucas and Jessica Schulte. A celebration of her life will be held Friday February 18th, 2011 at 1pm at the Poudre Park Community Building 10234 Poudre Canyon Hwy. The family requests in Kate's honor that you wear anything tie-dyed, Boston Red Sox, Harley Davidson, Iowa Hawkeyes, The Doors, Aerosmith or Michael Jackson. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Colorado.
