Keith D. Wilson, age 86, of Fort Collins, Colorado died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 21, 2020.
He was born on June 22, 1934 in Butte, Nebraska, the youngest of eight kids, son of Mildred and Cecil Wilson. Cecil owned a local gas station and car dealership. Keith learned his work ethic from his parents, who hosted the community in their home often, where he learned to get along with others and talk with them. He credited this with helping him in his work life.
Keith married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy, in September of 1956 and they celebrated 64 years of marriage together.
Keith followed his dad into the automotive business, working in many different sectors, from parts to sales and management. No matter what he did, people were his top priority. Among the many places he worked, Major Motors Auto Supply, University Motors, Van Works, and Markley Motors were where he spent the majority of his work life.
Keith and Dorothy were founding members of the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. God and family were most important to him. His favorite family activity was golf, and he especially loved Dorothy's big family golf tournament/reunions that happened each year. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Keith also loved sports, especially Rockies Baseball, the Broncos, and Nebraska football. Dorothy and Keith enjoyed the friendship of many couples who were part of a gourmet group that they created over 50 years ago.
Keith was the last living member of his family of origin. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, three children, Doug, Jim, and Jan, and six grandchildren.
