Kenneth Kerstiens, 54, of Fort Collins, unexpectedly passed away. Ken was born in Louisville, KY to Richard and Shirley (Thomas) Kerstiens. Ken married his best friend, Angela on May 12, 2007, who also passed away two years ago.
Ken grew up in New Albany, IN, graduated from New Albany High School 1989, and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University 1995.
He worked his way up from working in radio, to Systems Design Engineer at Apple, to Advanced Energy in Fort Collins for two years.
Ken has several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins surviving him, including Ida Andres, Jim Kerstiens, Larry and Mary Kerstiens, Joanne Dickson, Marie and Garry Stoner, Jerry and Nancy Kerstiens, Sharon and Aaron Jarrell (mom's sister and Ken's cousin, Aaron), and Jim Livingston; sisters-in-law Sylvia Arguello, and her children Ethan and Alexis, Cris Lovins, and her daughters Kaley and Natalie Lovins; and several work friends at Advanced Energy.
Ken was very loving and generous to all. His tenacity in everything he did will always be in our hearts. His best friend was his loving doggie, Dexter. We know Dexter will miss him terribly. His hobbies included hiking, computers, and problem solving; solving in engineering was his passion.
He will surely be missed and now he is joined by his wife, Angela. They were taken away from us way too soon. God will welcome him in his care in heaven and be in our hearts together.
