Larry Clifford Mastre

The world lost one of the good guys, Larry Clifford Mastre, age 74. On December 10, 2021, he passed from this life in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he and his wife recently relocated from Las Vegas.

Larry was born on December 22, 1946, in Grafton, North Dakota to parents, Clifford and Edith Mastre. He grew up on a farm in rural Park River, North Dakota and graduated from Walsh County High School in 1964. He attended business school, after which he was drafted into the Army to serve in the Vietnam War. In April of 1969, after being discharged from the military, he met Linda Hanson on a blind date. The two were married shortly after in November of 1969 in Northwood, North Dakota. They raised two children and enjoyed 52 wonderful years together.

Larry was a car enthusiast through and through. He worked for General Auto Parts where he started delivering parts in 1968 and retired as manager in 1997. Over the years, Larry proudly owned over 60 cars. He especially loved Chevy Corvettes.

He had striking blue eyes, a dynamic smile that lit up a room, and an irresistible laugh. Larry was one of a kind and was known as "Easy Larry." From co-workers to friends, neighbors, and toward the end of his life, his medical providers, people loved Larry and felt lucky to have him in their lives. He left his stamp on this earth.

Larry is survived by his wife, Linda Mastre; children, Julie Mastre (Jay O'Farrell) and Bill (Kristin) Mastre; grandchildren, Brody, Quinn, Logan, and Carter; and sister, Donna. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, JoAnn.

Larry's Celebration of Life will be at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hoople, North Dakota at the end of July 2022. More information will be available closer to the time.
