Larry E. Walsh, 79 of Fort Collins, CO died March 8, 2022, at his home. A Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:00 am, Thursday, March 31, 2022 with Memorial Mass to follow at 9:30 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Collins. Later this coming summer, another Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Agatha's Catholic Church in Hope, ND, followed by Interment in Hope Cemetery.
Larry Edmond Walsh was born in 1942 in Fargo, ND to Daniel and Ellen Walsh. He grew up in Hope, ND, attended the University of North Dakota and served in the National Guard for over a decade. He was self employed most of his life, having owned and operated the John Deere and Ford Dealership in Hope, ND.
In 1967, Larry married Mary Hell from Langdon, ND at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fargo and together they have two sons, David and Tom. In 1987, he sold the dealership and moved to Northern Colorado where he operated a picture framing business and ran the customer service department of Burris Optics in Greeley, CO. Larry was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and competitive shooter. Larry and Mary enjoyed regular camping in Colorado
Sadly, Mary died in 2019. Larry is survived by his sons, David (and Denise) of Alexandria, VA and Tom Walsh of Fort Collins and three grandchildren, Carly, Sara and Maddox, as well as his sister, Patricia Shogren Fladeland, who lives in Texas.
