Lawrence "Larry" Eugene Sizemore, of Fort Collins, Colorado, unexpectedly passed away from heart failure on November 1st, 2018. He was 70 years old.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm at Faith Church on 3920 South Shields Street, Fort Collins, Colorado 80526 with a reception to follow. Pastor Charlie Sandberg will officiate the ceremony. All are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Larry's life. Flowers are welcome; condolences and contributions may also be sent to Lynda Sizemore at 700 East Drake Road #H2 Fort Collins, CO 80525. Born April 12th, 1948 to the late Katherine Ann Byrd Sizemore and Berkeley John Sizemore, Lawrence "Larry" Eugene Sizemore grew up in Huntington, West Virginia with his two brothers, Ronald B. and George "Chuck" Charles. He graduated from Barboursville High School in 1966, and served his country as a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married his high school sweetheart, Lynda Gail Burgess of Barboursville, West Virginia on June 14th, 1968; attended business school at Marshall University, and over a span of ten years became the proud father of three children: Laura, Larry, and Leslie. In 1983, seeking better financial opportunities, he moved his young family to Fort Collins, Colorado. For the next decade, Larry worked hard at various jobs to put food on the table, but he finally hit his stride as a private investigator – a profession he admired from childhood.

Larry made a distinct and lasting impression on every person he met. For him, life was always a series of adventures and his unique sense of humor lifted many a heart. In addition to the joys of being a husband and father, he enjoyed singing, photography, radio plays, a good mystery story, watching classic movies, home computing, attending men's meeting at church, and above all assisting others in need.

Although in the last couple years he struggled with blindness and other complications brought on by type 2 diabetes, he took on the challenge of re-learning basic life skills and becoming more comfortable with relying on others – including his beautiful guide dog, Garnet – for support.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest brother, Chuck, and is survived by his wife and soulmate of 50 years, Lynda Gail Burgess Sizemore, his daughter Laura Gennae Young and son-in-law Chad Louis Young of Fort Collins, Colorado; his son Lawrence Eugene Sizemore II, grandsons Lawson Eugene Sizemore, Kayden James Sizemore, and granddaughter Lillian Eloise Sizemore of Fort Collins, Colorado; his daughter Leslie Grace Stoops and son-in-law Christopher Eugene Stoops, granddaughter Taylor Lynn Stoops, grandson Cameron Christopher Stoops, and grandson Ryan Matthew Stoops of Parker, Colorado; and his eldest brother Ronald B. Sizemore, his sister-in-law Brenda Sizemore of Huntington, West Virginia; niece Teresa Gail Coogler, niece Johnna Rennae Gaunch, nephew Ronald B. Sizemore II and their respective families.
