Lea Bernice Beatty, 77, of Wellington, CO, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2021. Lea was born to Joy Jack Kastner and Winnifred (Gabus) Kastner in Cheyenne, Wyoming on March 6, 1944. Lea was her sister Wendy's little baby doll, shortly after Lea was born Joy and Winifred would divorce and big sis Wendy would spend a lot of time caring for Lea, as Winifred had to return to work. Ultimately Lea and her mom would join Wendy and her new family in Denver in 1958.

Lea was a practical nurse and retired from Denver Health Medical Center in the Emergency Room in 2013.

Lea enjoyed the four-wheel drive club, The Denver Broncos, dancing, cooking, camping, church, coin collecting and jewelry.

Lea is survived by her son and daughter in law, Robert and Teri Knowlton of Wellington, CO, their children Brittany and Marcus Sr. Simelane of Windsor, CO, and Zach Knowlton of Wellington, CO. She is also survived by her sister, Wendy Siegrist, three great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Lea is preceded in death by her mother Winifred G Kastner and father Joy Jack Kastner.

A memorial service/celebration of life will be held; 10:30 am, September 18, 2021 at Fairmount Cemetery 430 S Quebec St, Denver, CO 80247. A Repast will follow the memorial service/celebration of life, more details to follow.
