Leonard "Lenny" Robinson passed away peacefully at age 89 this week in Fort Collins, CO. Leonard was the son of Albert and Kate Robinson and grew up with his sister Phyllis on Tennis Road in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Boston Latin School, graduated from Harvard in the class of 1950, and then attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He owned several pharmacies in the Boston area. Leonard married Evelyn in 1955 and they had 2 children – Narda and Larry, who survive him.
Leonard was a renaissance man in the truest sense, with a wide variety of eclectic interests. He loved gardening, wrote poetry, read widely, played a number of musical instruments, and was in high demand at Golden Peaks, where he spent the last years of his life, for his piano playing. He loved fishing in his early days, but ultimately gave it up out of empathy for the fish. He had a strong sense of humor. Leonard was kind and extremely considerate to those around him – usually with a compliment or positive comment even up to his very final days.
While there will be no official funeral, burial and graveside committal will occur on Monday, April 30 at 10 am at Roselawn Cemetery, 2718 E Mulberry St, Fort Collins.
Leonard was a kind and gentle spirit.
