Linda passed away in her home surrounded by her husband and family on December 3, 2022. She was born in Altadena, CA, and spent much of her life in Azusa, CA, where she met her high school sweetheart and husband of 49 years, Phil. Phil and Linda married in 1973, made a family, and spent the last 30+ years making memories together in their home in Fort Collins, CO.
Linda was survived by her husband Phil, son Steven, sister Lisa Tripp, daughter in law Lynae, grandchildren Devin and Lexi, sisters-in-law Liz Long and Rosemarie Relgado, and brothers-in-law Ray and Michael Guardado. Linda was also survived by many nephews and nieces that hold a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Doris Anderson.
Linda was well known for her love of baking and cooking. She put her heart and soul into everything she made, and showed her love to everyone around her with food. She was known as the 'neighborhood Grandma' that always had the best treats and a bright smile. Linda loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, and was so proud to be a grandmother. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of playing a word search, watching cooking shows, doing cross stitch, playing nickel slot machines, and sitting on her deck, enjoying the scenery and deer. In her earlier days she was an active bowler, made her own cookbooks, and was actively involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with Phil and Steven. She had many close friends in her dinner group that shared in many important events of her life. Linda was so incredibly loyal and devoted to her husband and family. Her wonderful spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She will forever have the best seat in the house.
Linda was very spiritual and strong in her faith, but it was her specific wish for her family and friends to remember the wonderful times we shared with her and celebrate her life, not mourn her loss.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Linda's name to the American Liver Foundation or the Children's Diabetes Foundation in honor of her granddaughter Lexi.
