Lois Elaine Hanson

Lois Elaine Angell Hanson, of Fort Collins, CO formerly of Tucson and Lakeside, AZ was called home to her Lord on July 24th after a lengthy struggle with Parkinson's. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4th at 1:00 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, 305 E Elizabeth St., Fort Collins, CO. Goes Funeral Care in Fort Collins, is handling the arrangements. Interment service will be at a later date at East Lawn Cemetery, Tucson, AZ.

Survivors include her husband, Merlin Hanson; 3 sons, Dennis (Cil) of Rhode Island, Rick (Dena) of Tucson, AZ, and David (Lori) of Roseburg, Oregon; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Paul, John and Kenneth; and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was born August 15, 1936 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and attended school there. She married Merlin Hanson in Great Falls, Montana July of 1954. The couple returned to Humboldt, Iowa and farmed and Merlin had a carpentry business. In 1960 they moved to Tucson, AZ to raise their family. Lois was very devoted to her husband and family. She was very active in various church activities most of her life. She will be missed by many family members and friends.

The family would like to sincerely thank her nurse Adam Federer and Pathways Hospice, and her many caregivers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pathways Hospice in Fort Collins.
