Lori Margolf

Sep 17, 1966 — Dec 30, 2011

Lorene Katherine Margolf died in Ft. Collins, CO on December 30th, 2011. She was born on September 17th, 1966 to Fern and Benjamin Bratcher in San Jose, CA. Lori is preceded in death by her father Benjamin, her aunt Jenell Cross, aunt Cherry Lou Ingram, uncle Jerry Cross and is survived by her mother Fern, her brother David Bratcher, her three loving children Leanna Valadez, Michael Valadez, and Jeffery Margolf, her two aunts Jecquetta Baker and Beverly Hooper and their children, her nieces Lisa Banta, Teresa McKellips, and Julie Molina and their children, her recent husband Art Choury and many extended family and friends. Services will be held at one-thirty pm Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Timberline Church at 2908 S. Timberline Road, Ft. Collins, in the South Auditorium. Lori was a beautiful woman inside and out, with a radiant spirit. She was as adventurous as they come, whether it be scuba diving, horseback riding, wakeboarding or jet-skiing, anything she attempted she excelled at with ease. She had a God given voice and a natural ability at the piano. Lori lifted and calmed many spirits with her song and lived most of her life singing God's praises. Lori dedicated her life to loving and helping others. She was a Registered Nurse/EHR specialist with Poudre Valley Hospital and had been employed there doing what she loved for fifteen years. She always gave more than she received and sacrificed so much of herself for the betterment of others. It was clear that she loved us all more than she was capable of loving herself. We are deeply saddened by her choice to leave us so soon, some things we may never understand. This world is a better place because of people like her. May we learn to walk in her footsteps and love the way she loved and remember to cherish one another tenderly, for our hearts are fragile. Rest in peace, precious one.
