Lorna Yvonne Jorgensen

Lorna Yvonne Jorgensen, 54 of Johnstown, Colorado passed peacefully at home on October 4, 2015. She was born to John and Yvonne (Tidball) Mitts in Denver, Colorado on April 25, 1961. Lorna was raised with her brother, Michael and sister, Jolene in Denver where she attended South High School. Shortly after graduating from high school, she met and married Spencer R. Jorgensen in 1980.

Together, she and Spencer raised their two sons, Nick and Chris and lived in the Denver area until 1988, when they moved to Houston, Texas. Lorna began her professional career as a commercial insurance agent with WD Jorgensen & Company. Lorna prided herself with being part of the coolest breakfast and lunch programs in the Houston public schools, which she carried with her to Loveland, Colorado in 1991. She and her family lived in Northern Colorado ever since. Later, Lorna continued her career within the insurance industry until her health failed.

She loved cooking, gardening, piano, ceramics, camping and her favorite sports teams, the Denver Broncos and the Colorado State University Rams.

Lorna is survived by her husband, Spencer R. Jorgensen of Johnstown, CO; sons, Nick (Amber) Jorgensen of Fort Collins, CO and Chris Jorgensen of Johnstown, CO; brother, Mike Mitts of Denver, CO; sister, Jolene Barnes of Huron, SD; brother-in-law, Alex Jorgensen of San Jose, CA and her two beautiful grandchildren, Lucy and Teddy.

Her Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:30 AM, Friday, October 9th at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fort Collins, CO. Lorna and her family have been so fortunate to have her in-laws, Patricia Dahl and James Boltz active in the church, thank you.
