Lorna Loosley

Jan 12, 1952 — Mar 26, 2022

Lorna Loosley, age 70, of Fort Collins, Colorado died on March 26, 2022.

Lorna was born in 1952 in Evanston, Wyoming to parents Wayne and Vera Bollschweiler. She graduated from Evanston High School in 1970 and went on to attend Brigham Young University in Utah.

In 1972, Lorna married her first husband, and on February 11, 1973, gave birth to her only child, Amy Marie (Roberts). In 1979, Lorna met James Robert Loosley. They married twice – first in a private ceremony in Wyoming on July 25, 1979, and again in front of friends and family in Bob's grandmother's back yard on August 25, 1979. In 1984, the family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado.

Lorna was incredibly creative; she could paint, draw, crochet, cross stitch, or sew anything, often without a pattern. Her creative mind could simply visualize things. Lorna loved music, especially the Beatles, Van Halen, and Sonia Dada. She learned to play both guitar and piano over the years, and she loved to dance. Lorna was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was elated when her only grandchild, Kendall Capella Roberts, was born in 2004.

Lorna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Bob Loosley, daughter, Amy Roberts, and granddaughter, Kendall Roberts, who inherited Lorna's artistic talents. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Deena Morgan. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Larimer Humane Society in Lorna's name.
