Lucille Williams, age 69 of Fort Collins, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 1, 2009. Lucille was born on July 18, 1940, in Fort Collins, Colorado, the youngest of four children, to Ben and Hazel Geary. She graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1958. Lucille married Jerry Williams in August of 1963 in Fort Collins. Later divorced and remained unmarried until her passing. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Lucille worked in the gift shop for the Ramada and Holiday Inns in Fort Collins. Then, later worked at Wal-Mart, on South Mason, until it closed. She loved working in the Garden Center, taking care of all the flowers and plants. Lucille loved her family with all her heart. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in their sports and school activities. Lucille enjoyed bowling, crocheting, watching the Rockies and Broncos. She also enjoyed just visiting with family and friends. There was never a stranger in Lucille's eyes, she could strike up a conversation with a stranger and they would end up friends. Lucille is survived by her daughter Gina (Kirk) Tovar of Fort Collins; son Kevin (Whitney) Williams of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Brittani and Cory Tovar and Dayton and Kennedy Williams; her sister, Zella Soderberg of Pinedale, Wyoming; brother, Melvin Groenwold of Dangerfied, Texas; her sister-in-law Phyllis Geary of Fort Collins; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding Lucille in death are her parents, her brother "Gus" Geary and Baby Charles Geary. A visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Wednesday, December 9th at Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr., Fort Collins. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1709 W. Elizabeth, Fort Collins. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lucille's memory.
