Marcelle Lee Geudner

Marcelle Lee (Creech) Geudner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on September 14, 1939 in Neville, Texas, to parents John Wilson Creech (5/22/1891-2/20/1965), and Dora Beatrice Adams Creech (2/25/1903-11/9/1967), as the 7th of eight children. Marcelle lived a life defined by intelligence, compassion, success, and devotion to her family.

During her school years, Marcelle played the French horn and proudly served as the high school majorette, showcasing both her talent and school spirit. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in Shelbyville, Texas as the 1955 Valedictorian of her class. She went on to attend Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, where she earned a double major in English and Business in 1959 at the age of 19.
Following her academic achievements, Marcelle moved to Wheatridge, Colorado, where she began teaching at Manning Junior High. It was there, in 1960, that she met the love of her life, Paul Roger Geudner, who was 8 ½ years her senior. Together they enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends and, boating and camping, and dancing, and on August 13, 1960, they were married in Center, Texas. Their honeymoon took them to St. Louis Missouri, and then to the beauty of Niagara Falls, marking the beginning of a lifelong partnership.
Ten months later, Marcelle and Paul welcomed their first child, Cindi, followed two and a half years later by their second daughter, Lyn. They raised their family in Arvada, Colorado, and later in Littleton, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and learning.
Marcelle worked full-time as a teacher while raising her family, and in 1974 she attained her Master's Degree in Remedial Reading from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She dedicated herself to working with children, and extra compassion for ones with learning disabilities. She offered all her students patience, skill, and encouragement. Later, she transitioned to teaching Business at Chatfield High School, where she inspired countless students before retiring in 1997. Even after retirement, Marcelle continued to substitute teach until 2001, reflecting her lifelong devotion to education.

She cherished her roles as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, nurturing each generation with warmth and unwavering love. Her family was her greatest joy, and her presence will be deeply missed at every gathering, story shared, and tradition continued.

Marcelle is survived by her daughters, Cindi Lee Geudner Rubiano (Jess Aragon), and Lyn Nichole Geudner Martin (Ron); grandchildren; Brandi Lyn Broadley (David), Jordan Lee Cannon (Edward), and Mason Paul Howell; and great-grandchildren; Bianca Jordan Broadley, Ryker Van Robert Cannon, and Harlowe Rubi Cannon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Roger Geudner, on January 15, 2023.
Her memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to value knowledge, embrace family, and live with dignity.
