Margaret McCoy, the youngest of three children, was born August 24, 1918 in Red Bud, Illinois to George and Ida Koch. She moved to St. Louis, Missouri as a young adult and supported the WW2 war effort by sewing parachutes for the military. She married Harry McCoy in 1951 and lived a happy life with him until his death in 1983. She moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado in 1994 to be near her son and his family. Margaret was a people person and not only was blessed with many caring friends but was also involved with service work in several churches as well as a member of PEO, an organization that helps underprivileged girls get college educations. Margaret was an ice skater and skated until the young age of 89 as a member of the Senior Skating Club at the Epic center in Ft. Collins. Margaret believed that Jesus Christ was her savior and died confident that she was on her way to heaven. She is survived by her son, Michael, daughter-in-law Diane and her two grandchildren, Timothy and Tiffany. A celebration of life will be held at First Presbyterian at 531 South College on November 29 at two o'clock in the afternoon. Memorials, in lieu of flowers may be made to PEO International (
