Maria was born to Armando and Josephine Belmarez on May 6th 1968, in Plainview Texas. She grew up with her siblings there was 10 in total. She had a good childhood growing up in mainly Colorado which came with its fair share of difficulties being there was many children and things were tough for her and her siblings at times. She encountered may obstacles in her childhood and growing up but was able to overcome them and show what true strength and conquering difficulty in life looks like. She was a fun loving teenager and like to do many things, she met her husband Juan when she was 16 in Fort Collins. From then they grew together as a couple and eventually as parents having three children themselves. She had her first child at 18 (Albert) then a daughter at 20(Jessica) and another daughter at 25(Mariah). She moved from El Paso, TX after her second child and stayed in Fort Collins until her death. She was a fun loving mother who worked very hard making sure her family always had everything they needed from the essentials to toys and love, a shoulder to cry on or someone to play with. She was a woman who showed what it really meant to serve others and help them out no matter what. She loved Jesus and gave her life to Him in her early twenties, serving in the church with her husband Juan. She loved going camping up the Poudre river and spending time with her family up there. Once her kids were older and her role as a mother changed a bit as it does, she loved traveling to the California beaches, Texas, Chicago, to name a few. She loved going on cruise ships and seeing whatever parts of the world were on her heart. Her and Juan built amazing memories traveling around and experiencing different places as a married couple which bonded them together even closer. She became a grandma in her early 40's (Kito) and was so happy to have a grandchild to spoil. She showed amazing authentic love to her first grandbaby which he got to make great memories traveling with her and spending great time with her until more grandbabies came along a few years later. As her number of grandkids grew she continued to show them the same love and made amazing memories with all of them. They all had a special place in her heart all 7 of them. She worked at Poudre Valley Hospital for over 20 years as the main barista in the coffee shop at hospital. Being a barista allowed Maria to show all of the people she served and was able to meet, the same love, compassion, authenticity she had for her family to all of them. She was your best friend, a mother figure, someone you could talk to about anything going on in your life and get good advice no matter the circumstances. She became extremely close to the resident doctors who went through the residency program at the hospital no only fueling them with coffee but being a great source of advice or just a genuine person to talk to. Maria was able to meet, touch, encourage, bless, many people in her life. She was a one of kind soul who always said "Be kind to people you never know what they are going through." She took that mindset and attitude everywhere she went and it was contagious to all. Maria is survived by her husband Juan, Children Albert (Tori), Jessica (JC), Mariah, and her 7 grandchildren, Kito, Melody, Abigail, Lilyana, Aryana, Elijah, Leilah. She will be greatly missed but was sent off with lots of love.
