Marianne Sokoloski

Marianne Sokoloski, 51 of Fort Collins, departed this life on November 18, 2008. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Blessed John 23rd University Parish, 1220 University Ave., Ft. Collins. Marianne Sokoloski was born July 30, 1957 in Longmont, CO to Larry and Margaret Sokoloski. She grew up in Longmont and lived formerly in Indiana, Misissippi, Tennessee and Texas, but always returned to Northern Colorado. Marianne was proud of her Native American "Osage" heritage. She enjoyed beading and made jewelry and other designs. Marianne was a wonderful cook and had a great sense of humor. She wrote poetry; liked fishing; loved animals and flowers; and collected antique bottles. She was in touch with nature and preferred to be out of doors. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Thomas; three sons, Dillon Wood, Aaron and Noah Sokoloski; a daughter, Heidi Nolen; her brother, Steve Sokoloski; and her dear friends, Marilyn and Angie.
