Marie D. Dower

Marie Louise Denny Dower, died at the age of 88, on Friday, April 12th, 2019 in Fort Collins, Colorado at the home of her daughter, Sheila Spring. Marie was born on August 22, 1930 in Bronx, New York to Louise Bennett Denny and Frederick Denny, and grew up in Southampton, New York. Along with her husband, Robert "Bob" Dower, she raised her family in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. They later moved to Stuart, Florida.

Marie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Bob Dower and survived by her children, Bernadette Hirst, Marianne (Tom) Parciak, Michael (Nancy) Dower, Sheila (Richard) Spring and Maria Wankelman and her loving grandchildren, Colin, Patrick and Spencer Hirst, Keara and Matthew Parciak, Anna Saunders, Michael Dower, Jr., Kaitlin, Anna and Bridget Spring, and Katherine and Grace Wankelman.

Marie was a devout Roman Catholic, loving wife, mother and grandmother, and passionate defender of life. Donations can be made to Life Saver Ads, PO Box 1711, Palm City, FL 34991. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins, CO on Wednesday, April 17th at 2 pm. A memorial mass will be held this summer at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in West Hartford, CT followed by a burial.
