Marie Elizabeth "Betty" Tobin, age 96 of Fort Collins, CO died July 9, 2025 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.

Betty was born July 5, 1929 in Baltimore, MD to Frederick and Margaret Schmelz. She grew up in Baltimore and met her husband, U. S. Navy Commander, Daniel Tobin, stationed at Virginia Beach Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, VA. They were married in 1949 and settled in Rockville, MD where Dan ended his career in the Navy. In 2006, they retired and moved to Fort Collins and settled into their new home and parish. Much of their social activities revolved around St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish as their faith was very important. Betty loved gardening and nature and arts and crafts; was always learning new things and renewing herself as well as being active in her church. She just loved her SEAS Parish Family.

Betty is survived by her six children, Stephen (and Laurie) Tobin of Longmont, CO, David (and Anne) Tobin of Boulder, CO, Judith (and Stephen, deceased) Bartels of Webster, NY, Kathleen (and Douglas) Udy of Georgia, Michael Tobin (and Michael Atkins) of Virginia Beach, VA and Mary (and Ernie) Batson of Ft.
