Marilyn Mae Anderson

Marilyn Mae Anderson, 78 of Fort Collins, died April 16th at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm Sunday, April 19th at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 4501 South Lemay Ave., Ft. Collins. Funeral service 1:00 PM Monday, April 20th at Spirit of Joy. Interment will be in the Stavanger Cemetery in Stavanger, IL.
Marilyn Mae Wheeler was born May 7, 1936 in Seneca, Illinois. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1954. Marilyn married Earl Albert Anderson in Stavanger Lutheran Church on November 10, 1956. They lived for 25 years in Sugar Grove, Illinois. When her children were in school Marilyn worked as a librarian at their school. She was a long time member of Saint Mark's Lutheran Church in Aurora, IL.
The most important part of Marilyn's life was her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marilyn was an avid Cubs fan; she enjoyed crafts and making flower arrangements, and cooking. In 1998 her husband died and she moved to Fort Collins in 1999, where she has been a member of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church.
Marilyn is survived by her son Jeff (Kathy) Anderson of Marco Island, Fl and daughter Sue Montey of Fort Collins; Her sister Dorothy Buck of Seneca, Il; Her brother Raymond Wheeler of Florissant, MO; five grandchildren, Scott Anderson, Stefanie Irwin, Nicole Montey, Kelsey Montey, and Travis Montey; and 3 Great-grandchildren, Ava Irwin, Gavin Irwin, and Connor Anderson. She is preceded in death by her husband Earl.
