Mark Andrew O'Guin was a quiet gentle giant with a contagious smile. He passed away at home on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, great son, and wonderful brother. He endeavored to be a good father and doting grandfather and uncle.
Mark was the son of John Michael and Fay O'Guin. He was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, on May 18, 1970. He was little brother to his sister Karen Slinger. He graduated from Poudre High School in 1988. He was an all-purpose clerk for most of his 29 years at King Soopers. He met the love of his life Sara while working at the same store and they married on July 29, 1994.
He loved dragons, castles, and all that is mythical. He enjoyed on-line gaming, especially Elevanar.
He leaves behind the love of his life Sara; children: Jessica Nauroth (Bill), Travis Garza (Jenna), and Shyler O'Guin; grandsons: Billy and Brayden; mother Fay O'Guin; sister Karen Slinger (Ron) and niece Kaitlyn; family in Great Falls, Montana; and the entire Garza family.
Mark was preceded in death by John Michael O'Guin (father); Barbara and Ed Blackman, and Lucille Back (grandparents); and Horacio and Cecilia Garza.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Mark are encouraged to donate in his name to the Larimer County Humane Society.
In remembrance, an informal memorial reception will be held in his honor. This open house reception is scheduled from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, at the Garza family home located at 3501 Dixon Canyon Road (County Road 42C). A meal will be served and all are welcome.
