On Sunday, May 10, 2020, Mark Andrew Ruybal II, loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend passed away at the age of 33.

Mark was born on December 12, 1986 in Denver, Colorado to Mark Andrew Ruybal Sr. and Tina Kiernan (Hugunin) and was raised along with his brother Jude, with the loving care of Dawn Galbreath (Ruybal).

Mark received a Bachelor of Science Degree from California Polytechnic State University, in San Luis Obispo California in 2010. Mark was a direct childcare worker at Aaron's Boys Home.

Mark returned to Colorado and was the Junior Varsity Head Coach at University High School in Greeley, Colorado, coaching alongside his Dad. Mark was also a Case Manager/Behavioral Coach at North Range Behavioral Health in Greeley.

Mark attended high school at Greyhills Academy High School where he excelled academically as well as athletically. He then attended Taft High School in Taft California and was a basketball all conference point guard leading the central California region in assists per game, playing along the side his brother Jude, while being coached by their Dad. Mark was third in his class academically and was accepted to Cal Poly.

Mark enjoyed fantasy football with his close friends, comedy shows, concerts and was a huge fan of Notre Dame football and basketball and of the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies and Colorado Avalanche.

He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandfather (Papa) Bernie D. Ruybal, his aunt Cherie Lynn Bare (Ruybal) and uncle Joseph Daniel Ruybal and great grandparents and cousin's.
