Mary went home to Jesus Thursday, December 18th. She will be missed by her beloved husband of 25 years, William; daughter, Colleen; brothers, David (Kathie), James (Joyce), Loren (Gerri); sister, Diane (Rick); sisters-in-law, Sallie and Lee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary was greeted in heaven by her parents, Rudolph and Evelyn Bauer; brothers, William and Roger, and infant brother John Francis. Mary was born January 2, 1951 in Mondovi, WI. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, and attended graduate school at the University of Minnesota. Mary had a passion for leading an active and faith-filled Catholic life. She owned and operated Mountain Fitness in Whitefish, Montana. After moving to Ft. Collins with her family in 1989, she continued to pursue her health education field. She taught exercise classes at area fitness centers, CPR and First-Aid at Poudre Valley Hospital and Front Range Community College, and in the private sector. Mary loved the outdoors. She was an avid skier, hiker, runner, biker, camper, and fisherwoman. Among her many accomplishments, she hiked Mt. Whitney, ran several marathons, completed two RAGBRAI'S, a biathlon, many road races, and fished for salmon in Alaska. Mary was a devout and active member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. She was a hospitality minister, taught religious education, a Eucharistic minister and volunteered whenever there was a need in the community. She was greatly loved and an inspiration to many. Her spirit of faith, caring, love, beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor and kindness will be missed by her family and friends. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, December 26th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 27th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 5450 S. Lemay Ave, Fort Collins, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Craig family to be donated to Mary's favorite charities.
