Mary Gonzales

Mary Nava Gonzales, age 74 of Fort Collins , Colorado , died June 4, 2009 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 326 North Whitcomb, Ft. Collins . A brief visitation will be held at 5:00 PM that evening at Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr. , Ft. Collins, A reception at the Northside Aztlan Community Center will start at 7pm 112 Willox. Cremation is planned. Mary Nava was born August 9, 1934 in Del Rio , Texas to Tristan and Dolores Nava. She married Julian B. Gonzales on September 19, 1949 in San Angelo and they moved to Ft. Collins in 1978 where she worked for many years on the assembly line at Water Pik. She enjoyed playing bingo, taking trips up to Black Hawk and being active member of the Northside Aztlan Community Center Senior Citizens. Her husband, Julian and her son Julian B. Gonzales, Jr. preceded Mary in death, as did her brother and two sisters. Mary is survived by four daughters, Mary Jane (and Ralph) Castaneda of Ft. Collins, Elida Gonzales of Sterling City, TX, Janice Soto of Douglas, WY and Tomasita Ramon of Tilden, NE; her son, Johnny B. Gonzales of Ft. Collins; a sister, Ramona Lopez of San Angelo, TX; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
