Max Phillip Lovato

d. Feb 10, 2023

Max "Phillip" Lovato, 79, from Timnath, Colorado made his last cup of coffee on February 10, 2023.

He was born on March 1, 1943 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Maxmillian and Elizabeth Lovato.
Max was the oldest of five siblings including 3 brothers (Harry, Lawrence, and Everette) and 1 sister (Evelyn).

Max married Josephine Arellano in Craig, Colorado on November 7, 1964. Together they raised two daughters, Benita and Helen, in Craig. As a family, they took memorable trips together to Disneyland and other places in Wyoming and Mount Rushmore, South Dakota. They also went to visit places their children lived like Virginia to see Williamsburg. During the summers, they spent wonderful time enjoying the outdoors and doing some fishing.

He graduated from Rawlins High School in 1963. Then, Max attended a few programs obtaining licensing for driving semi-trucks and unit rigs. Along with this, Max became a barber in Denver (Colorado Barber School 1965).

As a long-haul truck driver, he became one of the first drivers to haul triples. He logged trips from coast to coast: Seattle to New York. He also won numerous awards for safe driving.

As a great-grandfather of 3 and a grandfather of 4, Max enjoyed being among the children. Fortunately, he lived to meet and spend some playtime with 3 great grandkids (Levi, Bridgette, and Anakin). Max spent many years with his grandchildren (Amanda, Larriena, Jessica and John Mark). He taught them all to cast a line for fishing. The kids grew up making memories with their grandfather along the way: going to movies, watching sports, enjoying festive family gatherings, and taking a few Colorado vacations. Max also witnessed his grandkids participate in softball, baseball, music, and dance.

He taught all of us to enjoy a good cup of coffee.
