Melanie S. Hemeon, 54 of Pierce, passed away April 3, 2022, after a short courageous battle with cancer. Born in Longmont, on November 24, 1967, she was the daughter of Gerald and Twila Linker.
Surviving family members include her husband of 34 years, Irving of Pierce; 4 children, Jefferey Peterson of Pierce, Charles Hemeon of Horsetooth, Ashley Hemeon Moreno and Michael of Greeley, and Robert Hemeon of Pierce; her brother Kelly O'Briant and Colleen of Lake Benton, MN. Melanie loved being a GRANDMA to her two grandchildren. Carli Hemeon and Michael Moreno Jr.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Penny O'Briant.
Melanie spent many years staying home as a dedicated wife and mother raising her family.
In 2005 she joined the Brookdale Senior Living in Greeley, working in the kitchen. Over 16 years here she worked into a management role with this facility.
She loved her family, going camping and watching her son, Charles at the drag strip. She also enjoyed watching friends who circle drag raced. She was caring, fun loving and loved to laugh. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, GRANDMA, sister, aunt and friend.
Melanie touched many lives and will be missed by everyone.
A celebration of Melanie's life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Liberty Park, 1st St. in Ault at 11:00.
