Michael Anthony Kreegar of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully on January 5th 2021 at Poudre Valley Hospital at the age of 74.

Mike married his loving wife of 55 years, Marsha, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Mike was born in Anderson, Indiana and moved around the country. In 1984 moved to Fort Morgan, CO. He and Marsha spent 28 years in Morgan County before they retired to Port Charlotte, Florida.

Michael was a Veteran of the US Navy from 1966 to 1970 serving on the USS Guam as a Petty Officer 3rd Class and was an aviation fuel technician and firefighter. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Mike entered into the beef packing industry. He worked in multiple beef processing facilities before retiring from Cargill, Fort Morgan, Colorado, in 2001.

Through his life Mike had many hobbies, including but not limited to, waterskiing, horses, leather crafting, the great outdoors, boating, fishing, hunting, photography, firearm sports, golf and golf club construction, woodworking, country swing dancing, chihuahuas, snow skiing, ATV's, attending sprint car races, history, archeology, paleontology, fossil finding, anthropology, his ancestry and anything he could gain knowledge from. He was an avid reader. Mike was also an artist, preferring to draw in pencil and charcoal. He was boundless. His pursuit of knowledge knew no limit.

Mike spent most of his life taking time with his family and friends, traveling, pursuing his hobbies and enjoying the many places he visited. His sense of humor has been passed down to his children, grandchildren and on. It will be remembered with great fondness by all who knew him.

Michael is proceeded in death by his parents, Morris and Eloise (Williams) Kreegar and his youngest sister, Rebecca Jo Kreegar.

He is survived by his wife Marsha (Pemberton) Kreegar, his three children; Kelley Kreegar, Missey (Greg) Shaver and Jason (Amy) Kreegar. His eight grandchildren; Hannah (Nic) Dutrow, Mickaela Shaver, Kristopher Shaver, Jordan Kreegar, Gus Baugh, Kit Baugh, Alayna Kreegar and Jayce Kreegar. His Great Grandchldren; Caleb Dutrow, Kasen Lane with two more on the way. He is also survived by his siblings; Ronald (Levy) Kreegar, Kristopher (Linda) Kreegar, Candice (Don) Babcock, Pamela (Mac) Cook and Tina (Wil) Kiley, His mother-in-law, Dorothy Pemberton and sisters in law; Diana Scheele and Gloria (Jerry) Nixon, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service and interment will be held April 17th 2021, at 2 pm, Riverside Cemetery, 601 W 8th Ave, Fort Morgan, CO 80701. A celebration of life will follow at 2:45 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church Parish Hall,
800 Sherman St., Fort Morgan CO 80701. Please follow Covid 19 guidelines."
