Michael D Riba 54 of Fort Collins, CO passed away peacefully on March 29, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a courageous battle with sarcoma cancer.
Mike was born January 24, 1959 in Fort Collins, CO to Arthur and Idell Riba. Mike married Jackie Aguirre on December 31, 1986. He worked for Martin Marietta Materials as an estimator/project manager.
Mike is survived by his wife Jackie, children Aubrie (Justin), Kirsti (Robert), Dalton, grand children Jaxson, A'Miyah and Kylee, brothers Gaylord and Rick, sisters Dena, Shirley and Judy, many nieces and nephews and many many supporters of Team Riba. He is proceeded in death by his parents Arthur and Idell.
The family wishes to thank all the members of Team Riba for their support and belief during his courageous battle, the EMTS who revived him allowing his family and friends to say goodbye, The Oncology nurses and Oncology staff at PVH for their great care, the nurses and staff of the ICU at PVH for treating him during his final days and to Goes Funeral Care and First United Methodist church for their kindness and compassion.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday April 5th at 1:00 pm at First United Methodist. Mike has requested happy memories and Hawaiian or colorful attire.
Memorial Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank to the Michael Riba Memorial Fund.
