Mike Weigand

Michael Allen Weigand "Mike" beloved husband, father, brother, and son passed away September 25th, 2008 due to a heart attack. Mike was born January 6th, 1957 in Hartner, Kansas to LaDonna and Carl Weigand. Mike lived in many rural Colorado towns and moved to Stratton his senior year of high school as his father was appointed superintendent of Stratton schools. He attended Colorado State University and majored in Civil Engineering. He was owner/partner in a company named Design Metal Inc. and was very well respected by his colleagues and business associates. He married the love of his life Colleen Jo Wilson on May 19, 1979. They were blessed with three children; twins, Jonathan and Christina (Ray) Davis; and Rebecca (Chad) Wohlers. Mike was a beloved member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He had a strong testimony and a firm commitment to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Helping, serving, and encouraging others were just a few of his many gifts. Mike is survived by his wife, his three children and their spouses, his father Carl and sisters Marsha (Joe) Trammel, and Michelle (Kip) Nelson. He is preceded in death by his mother and grandparents. Mike's family requests that any memorial donations please be made, in lieu of flowers, to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7755 Greenstone Tr., Ft. Collins, CO  80525 in his name.                                                                    Our family expresses sincere thanks and appreciation to his many friends, co-workers, neighbors, and church family.
