Myra Belle Coffman of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away peacefully on November 26th, two days short of her 95th birthday. She had been residing at Brookdale Mariana Butte in Loveland, Colorado.
Myra was the first of four siblings born to Henry Jess Hartje and Dorothy Mae LaVan Hartje in Rockford, Illinois. She and her husband, Howard W. Coffman, lived in Rockford until moving to Fort Collins with the Woodward Governor Company in 1958. Howard and Myra celebrated 60 years of marriage together. Myra is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia Coffman (Forrest Rounsaville - Deceased) of University Park, Florida, Christy Farnell (Jim) of Fort Collins, and Constance Gordon (David) of Broomfield, Colorado. Myra had six grandchildren - Casey, Cody (Jen) and Shawn (Elly) Farnell, Cooper Gordon (Elena), Chelsea Kieper (Scott) and Trevor Gordon (Morgan), and four great grandchildren - Stone and Tennyson Kieper and Forrest and Archer Gordon.
Myra loved real estate and worked as an agent for a time at Acott and Associates in Fort Collins. She loved playing cards and the piano, bowling, investing, decorating and making beautiful craft projects. You could guarantee that there would be a plate of fruit waiting on the table for any visitors and the Colorado Rockies would be playing on the TV in the background. She adored a good book and always kept up with the "grands" favorite titles too. She loved her family, and we will miss her greatly. Myra always had great advice, but the one that will stick with generations to come is: "Never let anyone get ahead of you."
The family will hold a future private ceremony and request any contributions in her memory be sent to your favorite local charity.
