Myrle Westley Catterson, Jr. died May 30, 2008 at the V. A. Medical Center in Denver after complications from emphysema. Born in Kearney, NE, Jan. 18, 1945, he graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1963, and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. Known as Butch by his family and childhood friends, Wes Catterson, worked in the construction industry in and around Fort Collins. He enjoyed painting in oils, and his passion was golf. Wes is survived by his daughter, Niccole Collett and husband Mike of California; granddaughter, Christina Catterson, 23, US Air Force, in Virginia; grandson James Frasca, 20, US Army, in Iraq; grandson, Nico Frasca, 17, California. He also leaves his mother Janice Catterson, Fort Collins; brother Robert Catterson and wife Sharil, Colorado Springs; sister Linda Lesser and husband Rick, Fort Collins; and many nieces, nephews, family and good friends. Wes is preceded in death by his father, Myrle Westley Catterson, Sr., 1982; and his brother Ronald Gene Catterson, KOA Vietnam, 1968. His ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony with family and close friends.
