Natasha Folkerts

Natasha Pearl Folkerts, 37, of Fort Collins, passed into Eternity on Thursday, June 2, 2022.

She was born in Illinois to a young woman who had prearranged with an adoption agency. At four months old, Natasha was adopted by Dean and Julie Folkerts. Raised in Colorado Springs, CO, she attended Mark Twain Elementary School, Russell Middle School, and graduated from Wasson High School in 2002. While in middle and high school, Natasha became a track star, excelling at sprinting events. Natasha worked various retail jobs while studying online courses to obtain her Associate Degree in Law Enforcement.
She traveled extensively with her parents to Europe, England, Russia, Hawaii, and was treated to a Mediterranean Cruise for her high school graduation.

In 2011, Natasha accompanied her parents to Hilo, Hawaii to begin a new life. She loved the island life and discovered a passion for helping sick people when she obtained a position at Hilo Medical Center as an intake specialist/patient representative. Natasha's gentle spirit, ready smile, and infectious (and loud!) laugh put troubled and hurting people at ease. She stayed in Hawaii eight years before becoming homesick and returning to live with her parents in Fort Collins where she began working for Banner Health until her death.

Natasha is survived by her parents, Julie and Dean, and two brothers, Clint and Bart, who adored her as little sister.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, June 17, 2022, at Discovery Fellowship Church (6630 Brittany Drive, Fort Collins). Further details can be obtained by calling the church at 970-204-6787.

Natasha will make one last trip to Hawaii where her ashes will be scattered as a final resting place. Her parents request any memorial gifts be designated to Camp Elim (5567 Painted Rocks Road, Woodland Park, CO 80863).
