Nola June Stonecipher was born on June 17, 1949 at Poudre Valley Hospital to Earl and Leona Halpain. On Dec. 6, very peacefully, June passed away at her home in Fort Collins at the age of 62 and is now an angel with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Proir to graduating from Poudre High School in Spring 1967, June married Roger Stonecipher on Dec. 17, 1966. They had three children: Gregg, Derrick and Jonine. At age 40, she received her nursing degree from Front Range Community College and worked as a nurse at the Larimer Co. Detention Center. Despite health problems that plagued the last six years of her life, June's faith in the Lord brought a smile to her face and to those she came into contact with along the pathways of life. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her older brother, Gary Halpain. She is survived by her brothers David Halpain of Johnstown and Tim Halpain of Roseville, Calif.; also her husband Roger, her son Gregg and his wife Deborah of Wellington; son Derrick and his wife Jennifer, and daughter Jonine and her husband, Jon Yunt, both of Fort Collins. June had five grandchildren: Michelle, Rebekah, Gabriel, Caleb and Iyla. We want to rejoice in her life and celebrate the fact she is now with Jesus and has joined the ranks of the angels. To honor her bright and shining personality, please consider wearing vibrant colors to the celebration of her life on Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. at Life Church on 1501 Academy Court in Fort Collins.
