Noreen O'Rourke

d. Apr 24, 2023

Noreen Frances O'Rourke, 77, passed from this earth into the arms of Jesus on April 24, 2023. She was born on June 21,1945, in Waterbury, Connecticut to Francis and Nora O'Rourke. Noreen (Reni) grew up in the small town of Middlebury CT, and later graduated from the University of Connecticut and New York Medical College.

As a young graduate, Reni worked at Perkins School for the blind, Boston, Mass and Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital, New York. Then she relocated to Ft. Collins, Colorado to pursue new adventures where she worked as a public health nurse for Larimer County, and later became a massage therapist.

Reni enjoyed traveling, snow skiing, hiking and quiet remote beaches in Mexico. In recent years, Reni moved to Affinity in Loveland, CO, where she played water volleyball, Scrabble, Quiddler, and Wii bowling. She also enjoyed her monthly card game and luncheon with close friends. Reni supported animal rescue centers throughout her adult life, rescued many animals and especially loved her cats.

Her final month of life was spent at Capstone at Centerra, AKA "The Resort." She loved making new friends, and was impressed by the gourmet food, and the caring and attentive staff.

Reni was preceded in death by her mom, Nora, her dad, Francis, and her stepdad Richard Curtis. She is survived by a son, Nathan Cluster, of Fort Collins, her sister Peggy (Lance) Hunt, Lakeland, FL, two nieces, Cathi (Scott) Roth, Fort Collins, CO and Sandra (Doug) Roth of Lakeland, FL. and many grand-nieces and nephews in Colorado and Florida.

A celebration of life will be held at Affinity in July with family and close friends.
