Norma Jean Roberts-Iossi, 85 of Fort Collins, passed away peacefully on July 15th 2014. She was born in Roggen, Colorado on October 30th 1928 to Lewis Howell Roberts and Elodia Marie Devriese-Roberts. Jean spent her childhood with her siblings, Nelta Herbert and Lew Roberts.
On June 9th 1949, Norma married Duane D. Iossi in Alliance, Nebraska and were blessed with the birth of their daughter; Barbara Fritz on December 4, 1954. Norma loved and enjoyed her family and was a wonderful homemaker. In 1950 the family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where Jean worked at the Larimer County Court House in the County Treasure's Office for 18 years; she retired in May 1983. Jean loved her family and friends and she enjoyed puzzles, reading, crochet, cross stitch and embroidery.
She will be dearly missed and is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Gary) Fritz of Laporte, CO; by three very special grand daughters, Kaleena (Jason) Schlegel of Fort Collins, CO; Kimberly (Mike) Jakel of Greeley, CO and Danielle Fritz of Laporte, CO; two very special great-grand daughters, Adelynn and Carleigh Schlegel; nieces, Kay (Ron) Williams of Colorado Springs; Sheryl Weber and Family of Westminster, CO; nephew, Mark Roberts and Family of Arvada, CO.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.
Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, July 28th 2014 at Goes Funeral Care at 3665 Canal Drive #E, Fort Collins. Burial will proceed at 1:00 PM on July 29th 2014 at Staging Area, A at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure, American Heart Association and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
