Olivia Macdonald

Olivia Ann MacDonald, age 14, of Watkins and Loveland, died Monday, April 12, 2010 in Watkins. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday at Blessed John 23rd University Parish, 1220 University Ave., Fort Collins. Interment will follow the service in Grandview Cemetery. A beautiful, warm-hearted, generous, quick-witted and loving person, Olivia left us too soon. She was born on July 19, 1995 in Lafayette, Indiana to Fred and Judy (Day) MacDonald. After spending her early years in Boise, Idaho, Olivia would come to call Loveland, and later, Watkins, home. In Loveland, Olivia attended Sarah Milner Elementary and Walt Clark Middle School, where she excelled academically, socially and artistically. A multitalented young woman, Olivia also played volleyball and participated in track. This year, Olivia continued to excel as a ninth grade student at Bennett High School in Bennett, CO. Wise and compassionate beyond her years, she always put other people first and accepted them for who they were. Olivia's genuine appreciation for humanity was clear to anyone who knew her. She is survived by her parents, Fred MacDonald of Watkins and Judy (Day) MacDonald of Loveland; her step-mother, Shelley MacDonald, and two step-brothers, Bill and Cory MacWithey of Watkins; her grandfather, Neal MacDonald of Malone, NY; grandparents, Kathy and Bill Barber of Franktown, CO; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Olivia is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Patricia Day of Spring, TX and her paternal grandmother, Huguette MacDonald of Malone, NY.
