Pat Gorsuch

Jun 12, 1932 — Sep 2, 2008

Pat B. Gorsuch, 76, of Corpus Christi, TX and Ft. Collins, CO, died Tuesday September 2, 2008 after a truly courageous battle with lymphoma, in her home in Ft. Collins, where she had been cared for by her daughter Megan.  Born June 12, 1932 in Baltimore, MD to Erwin 'Bud' M. and Ruth (Glickman) Budner, she lived with her family in Delaware.  She graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in Wilmington, DE.  Pat raised her two children in Maryland, Delaware and California.  She owned a retail newstand in Aberdeen, MD, and worked in the family business Delmar News Agency in Wilmington.  She reconnected with her 7th grade sweetheart at a reunion, and married her (late) husband George L. Gorsuch on June 7, 1987 in Aberdeen, MD.  After retiring, Pat and George enjoyed a very active life together, traveling extensively throughout the United States, birding in this country and Mexico, and enjoying 'the good life' RV-ing with friends and family. There was always at least one miniature poodle at her side. She was a member of Sand and Sea Acoustic Music society in Corpus, and several birding and RV clubs.  Pat also enjoyed quilting, crafting, playing dulcimers, and creating miniature vignettes and furniture for doll houses.  Pat was a member of Congregation Beth Israel & the JCC in Corpus. Her husband George passed away in November, 2006.  Pat is survived by her children Mark (Jay) Stutman of Newark, DE, Megan (Greg) Tooley and grandsons Sam, Alex and Ryan of Ft. Collins, and Wendy (John) Shartle of Gaithersburg, MD.  She will be truly missed by a remarkable assemblage of friends and family throughout the USA and the world.   Contributions in Pat's memory may be made to:  Mountain Valley Hospice Care, c/o Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr., Ste. E, Ft. Collins, CO 80524; Congregation Har Shalom, 725 Drake Rd., Ft. Collins, CO 80526; or your favorite charity.
