Patricia (Trish) Catherine Berhost was born to Bernard and Frances (Piel) Berhost on March 17, 1943, in Sterling, Colorado. On October 5, 2024, Trish passed peacefully and entered the pathway to the other side. She was the eighth of nine children. Trish attended school in Sterling, Colorado and graduated from Saint Anthony High School in 1961. While in high school Trish worked for Croft Drug Store. This guided her path to becoming a pharmacist. After graduation Trish remained in Sterling and attended Northeastern Junior College. She transferred to the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated from the CU School of Pharmacy. Trish received her license as a registered pharmacist in July 1971. She practiced at several pharmacies in the Denver area including Valley View Hospital and Medical Center and Midilife Pharmacy of Colorado. In the early 2000's she moved to Ft. Collins. She ended her career at Columbine Health Systems. Inc. Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Trish had a passion for nature and the arts. She was an accomplished at pottery as well as crochet, knitting, and sewing. She was frequently found trying new pottery techniques through classes at the Ft Collins Pottery Studio. Later in life she developed an interest in abstract watercolors.
Trish attended many local art/painting events and shows and would purchase paintings from local artists to display in her home. She also loved to frequent antique shops and flea markets to view the treasures and add to her collections of glass and ceramic trinkets.
As an avid reader, her interests included the natural world, theology, and current events. Trish loved nature and the outdoors. She would often be found walking along the Poudre River and admiring the flora and fauna. She loved the Colorado mountains. Trish loved rocks, especially heart shaped rocks. She had many displayed around her home and patio.
Trish's family was very important to her. She would often travel by car with her sisters across the United States, from the east to the west and everywhere in between. Those trips continued throughout her life.
Always exploring new horizons, Trish traveled extensively worldwide. Trish also loved to sail, especially on Grand Lake and in the Caribbean.
Trish was married to Bob McCoy from 1970 to 1989. Trish remained in contact with the McCoy family throughout her life.
Trish is survived by one sister, Rosemary (Luther) Williams of Pueblo, Colorado. Trish was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Frances Berhost, and her siblings; Bernice Bettger, Cornelia Neville, Leonard Berhost, Ruth Wilson, Bill Berhost, Paul Berhost and Barbara Hiatt. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
