Patricia (Pat) Rafiti passed away on July 27, 2022, in Fort Collins, Colorado surrounded by her loving family. Pat was a proud Wyoming native, born on June 7, 1937, to parents Charles and Connie Gilpin in Rock Springs, Wyoming where she lived until 1957. After returning to Rock Springs from flight attendant school she met her future husband and love of her life while car hopping at a local drive-up diner. After a six-week courtship she married Ray Rafiti on July 13, 1957. They celebrated 65 years of marriage this summer. For the next four years they enjoyed travelling across and living in 11 western states driven by rotating FAA assignments. A final move in 1961 brought her to Longmont where she raised two sons, Mike and Ray. She lived in Longmont until 2021 when she moved to Fort Collins. Pat was an active member in the Longmont community for nearly 60 years. She was President of Longmont Newcomers Club, Co-Chair of Colorado March of Dimes and President of LHS Trojan Athletic Boosters. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, Pack Scout Master and Red Hat Chapter Queen. Her favorite pastimes were planting flowers and gardening in her yard, hiking and biking Front Range trails with her husband. She played golf in the Sunset Women's 9 Hole Golf League for several years. Pat had an adventurous spirit and was willing to try almost anything, including kayaking, hot air balloon rides and a sky dive over Longmont to celebrate her 70th birthday.
Pat is survived by her husband Ray, Sr, her two children Ray and Mike, four grandchildren; Dominick, Tony, Chas, Gina and three great-grandchildren; Avery, Wylie, Sirus (a great granddaughter is due in October). She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, two brothers and infant daughter.
