Patricia Anna Woods

d. Feb 10, 2024

In Loving Memory,
Patricia Anna Woods, of Loveland, Colorado passed on to join our Holy Father on February 10, 2024. Patricia, or 'Pat" as she liked to be called, was born to George and Dorothy Helfrich in Hebron, Nebraska on June 26, 1930. In the early 1930's she moved with her parents and siblings to northeastern Colorado, and eventually settled in Boulder, Colorado, where she attended school. Her siblings included Carl, Leonard, Wilma, James and Arthur. Pat was a very accomplished woman. She graduated from the Boulder High School where she studied fine arts and became a very good tennis player. Patricia turned her love of tennis and art into life-long passions, playing tennis and creating world class fine art pieces well into her mid-eighties. Patricia began her art career in high school creating oil paintings, and later she created beautiful bronze castings.

Pat married Robert Miller Vincent in 1950 and together they started a family in Lakewood, Colorado. Together they had four children: Pamela (Peter) Torchia (San Ramon, CA), Deborah (Robert) Strnot (Fort Collins, CO), Scott (Kaye) Vincent (Fort Collins, CO) and Bobbie (Tim) Sigg (Thornton, CO). In 1964 she married her second husband John Elton Woods. With the addition of three new step-children: David (Terri) Woods (SC), Nelson (Kate) Woods (TX), and Shari (Alan) Appleby (SC), her brood grew rather quick. She loved her entire family dearly, and they all loved her. She is survived by her three children, brother Arthur Helfrich, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat's life was quite adventurous, having completed a trip traveling around the world with her second husband, and making many trips to Mexico. In all Pat lived in Boulder, CO, Maryland, Dallas, TX, and finally in Loveland, CO.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Brookdale North Loveland, Pathways and Goes Funeral Care for the extra tender loving care they provided for Patricia.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, second husband John Woods, daughter Deborah Strnot, son in-law Robert Strnot, step daughter in-law Teri Woods, step grandson Robert Appleby, and four siblings. A celebration of life will be held early this spring, with a date and time to be announced soon.
